Author Guidelines

J-STAR: Journal of Social & Technological Advanced Research

Submission Instructions

The Journal of Social & Technological Advanced Research (J-STAR) welcomes original contributions from scholars, practitioners, and researchers in the fields of social sciences, education, management, computer science, information technology, and multidisciplinary studies. Before submitting, authors must carefully follow the submission requirements outlined below.

General Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts submitted must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

  • Submissions must be made online through the journal’s official portal:

  • Manuscripts must be in Microsoft Word (2016 or later), formatted as per journal standards.

  • Submissions must be uploaded as a single Word file, including the main text, tables, figures, and references.

  • Authors must register with the journal’s website prior to submitting.


Manuscript Formatting Guidelines

Title and Author Information

  • Title: Bold, UPPERCASE, Times New Roman, 16 pt, centered.

  • Author Details: Full Name, Designation, Institution, City, Country, and Email, centered beneath the title in Times New Roman, 12 pt.

Corresponding Author

  • Clearly indicate the corresponding author, who will handle all communications.

  • Provide postal address, email address, and contact number with area code.

Abstract

  • Abstract must be up to 200 words, italicized, Times New Roman, 12 pt, justified.

  • Should briefly outline purpose, methodology, findings, and conclusions.

Keywords

  • Provide 3–10 keywords arranged in alphabetical order, separated by commas, ending with a full stop.

Word Count

  • Manuscripts should be 3,500–6,000 words.

  • Overly lengthy submissions may be returned for revision.

Page Setup

  • Paper Size: A4 (8.27" × 11.69")

  • Margins: 1 inch on all sides

  • Line Spacing: 1.5 throughout

  • Text: Times New Roman, 12 pt

Sectioning

  • Use numbered headings (e.g., 1., 1.1, 1.1.1).

  • Abstract and References sections should not be numbered.

Tables and Figures

  • Tables: Numbered sequentially, title above table, Times New Roman 12 pt, bold, centered.

  • Figures: Numbered sequentially, captions below figure, same style.

  • Insert them at relevant points within the text.

Equations

  • Should be in the same font style as the main text.


References and Citations

References

  • Use APA (latest edition) style.

  • Arrange alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.

In-Text Citations

  • All cited works must appear in the reference list.

  • Citations should not appear in the abstract.

  • Personal communications or unpublished work should be cited in text only.

Web References

  • Must include full URLs, author, title, and access date.

  • Can be incorporated into the main reference section.


Additional Requirements

Author Biography

  • Provide a short biography (50–100 words) for each author.

  • Attach a passport-size photo.

  • Submit along with the Copyright Agreement Form.

Funding Acknowledgment

  • If research was funded or sponsored, include a clear acknowledgment in the manuscript.
