Author Guidelines

International Review of Sustainable Economics and Finance

We appreciate your interest in submitting your scholarly work to the International Review of Sustainable Economics and Finance (IRSEF). As a peer-reviewed academic journal, IRSEF is committed to publishing high-quality, original research in the fields of economics, finance, and sustainable development. Authors are requested to carefully follow the submission and formatting guidelines below to ensure their manuscript is eligible for peer review.

1. General Submission Guidelines

Originality: Submissions must be original and must not be published or under review elsewhere.

Submission Portal: All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal submission system.

File Format: Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word (2016 or later) and submitted as a single document including all figures, tables, and images.

Registration: Authors must register on the journal website before submitting their manuscript.

URL References: Active and accessible URLs must be included where applicable.


2. Manuscript Formatting Guidelines

Title and Author Information

Bold, UPPERCASE, centered
Times New Roman, 16 pt

Author Details (below title, centered):

Full Name
Designation
Department, Institution, City, Country
Email Address

Corresponding Author

Clearly mention the corresponding author including:

Postal Address
Email Address
Contact Number (with country/area code)


3. Abstract and Keywords

Abstract

Maximum 200 words
Italicized and justified
Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt

The abstract should briefly present:

Background
Objectives
Methodology
Results
Conclusion

Keywords

Provide 3–10 keywords
Alphabetically listed, comma separated, ending with a full stop.


4. Word Count and Page Layout

Length: 3,500 – 6,000 words

Layout

Paper Size: A4
Margins: 1 inch on all sides
Spacing: 1.5 line spacing
Text: Single sided
Header/Footer: 0.5 inches from edge


5. Sectioning

Use numbered headings such as:

  1. Introduction
    1.1 Background
    1.1.1 Subtopic

Sections like Abstract and References should remain unnumbered.


6. Tables, Figures and Equations

Tables

Title placed above the table
Bold, centered, Times New Roman 12 pt

Figures

Caption placed below the figure
Same font style as tables

Equations

Must be properly formatted and consistent with manuscript font.


7. References and Citations

Use APA Style (Latest Edition) for citations.

Reference List

Arranged alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.

In-Text Citations

Every cited source must appear in the reference list and vice versa.

Important

No citations should appear in the abstract.

Web References

Provide complete URLs and metadata where available.


8. Author Biographies

Each author must submit:

Short biography (50–100 words)
Passport size photograph
Signed copyright agreement form


9. Funding and Acknowledgments

All sources of funding or institutional support should be disclosed in a dedicated section at the end of the manuscript.

Authors should clearly mention:

Funding agency name
Project title (if applicable)
Grant number


By following these guidelines, authors help maintain the journal’s commitment to academic integrity, editorial quality, and scholarly excellence. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned without review.
