The EcoBiotics: Journal of Animal & Plant Sciences (EJAPS) is a fully open-access journal, meaning all content is freely available to users and their institutions. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. All published articles are immediately and permanently available online without subscription or access barriers.
All content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.

Plagiarism Policy and Academic Integrity
The EcoBiotics: Journal of Animal & Plant Sciences (EJAPS) is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publishing. Plagiarism, in any form, undermines the credibility of scholarly work and is strictly prohibited. To ensure originality and maintain trust in academic communication, EJAPS enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.
Plagiarism refers to the use of another individual’s ideas, words, data, images, or intellectual contributions without proper acknowledgment. This includes, but is not limited to:
Direct Copying: Reproducing text from any source without quotation marks and appropriate citation.
Paraphrasing: Rewriting another author’s work, ideas, or conclusions without proper credit.
Unacknowledged Use of Data: Using tables, figures, images, or datasets without proper referencing.
Self-Plagiarism: Reusing one’s own previously published or submitted work without disclosure or proper citation.
EJAPS Standard: The similarity index of submitted manuscripts must not exceed 19% similarity index.
HEC Benchmark (Pakistan): While the Higher Education Commission permits up to 19% similarity, EJAPS adopts a stricter limit to promote academic excellence.
Plagiarism Screening: All submissions are evaluated using recognized plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin) prior to peer review.
Author Responsibility: Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their work is original, properly cited, and free from any form of intellectual property violation.

All authors are required to submit a Statement of Originality, confirming that:
The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.
All sources have been properly cited.
The manuscript is not under consideration elsewhere.
Authors who believe a plagiarism decision has been made in error may submit a formal appeal. All appeals are reviewed by the EJAPS Editorial Board, and decisions are made based on a fair and comprehensive evaluation.Transparency and Retraction Policy
In cases where plagiarism is confirmed after publication, EJAPS will issue a formal retraction notice clearly stating the reason for retraction. This ensures transparency and preserves the integrity of the scholarly record.
EJAPS strictly prohibits the use of AI-generated content (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Bard, etc.) in any part of submitted manuscripts. Submissions must reflect original human scholarship and independent intellectual effort.
AI-generated or AI-assisted content is not permitted in the abstract, methodology, results, or discussion sections.
Manuscripts must contain 0% AI-generated content.
Violations of this policy will be treated as academic misconduct and may result in rejection or retraction.
EJAPS remains committed to ethical publishing practices and expects all contributors to adhere strictly to these standards.
EJAPS is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of published scholarly content.
The journal utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and other preservation mechanisms available through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform to ensure permanent accessibility of published articles.
Regular backups of journal data, articles, metadata, and system files are maintained to safeguard against accidental loss.
Published content remains freely available and permanently accessible through the journal website.
If the journal ceases publication, all published content will remain accessible through preservation services and institutional archives whenever possible.

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous, transparent, and ethical peer review process to ensure that only original, impactful, and methodologically sound research is published.
To promote fairness and unbiased evaluation, EJAPS employs a double-blind peer review system, where:
Author identities are concealed from reviewers
Reviewer identities are concealed from authors
This ensures that manuscripts are judged solely on scholarly merit, free from personal, institutional, or geographic bias.
All manuscripts must be submitted through the official EJAPS submission portal.
During the preliminary review, the editorial office assesses:
Relevance to EJAPS's scope (management, innovation, and social sciences)
Compliance with formatting and submission guidelines
Ethical approvals (if applicable)
Plagiarism check using Turnitin or equivalent tools
Submissions that do not meet these basic standards may be desk rejected without external review.
Manuscripts that pass initial screening are forwarded to at least two qualified reviewers, selected based on:
Subject area expertise
Research credentials and publication record
Absence of any conflict of interest with authors or affiliated institutions
Reviewers are asked to evaluate manuscripts based on:
Originality and novelty of the research
Theoretical and practical contribution to the field
Clarity and structure of presentation

They will submit one of the following recommendations:
Accept without revisions
Accept with minor revisions
Major revisions required

The handling editor reviews the recommendations and makes a final decision. If revisions are requested:
Authors receive consolidated feedback from reviewers
A timeline is provided for resubmission
Revised manuscripts may undergo further review if necessary
The standard peer review process is completed within 4–6 weeks, depending on:

Manuscript complexity
Responsiveness to revision requests
Authors are encouraged to reply promptly to editorial communications to expedite publication.
