Digital Transformation of Terrorism: Emerging Technologies and Pakistan's Counterterrorism Strategies

Terrorist methods and strategies have been greatly altered by technology, allowing them to cross physical borders and expand their reach. Terrorist groups within and outside the country's borders have utilized technological breakthroughs to enhance their operational capabilities. In fighting again terrorism, Pakistan has accepted technology as an essential tool in countering terrorism. Advances in modern surveillance systems, biometric identification tools, AI, and cybersecurity infrastructures have allowed the country to better predict and respond to attacks. This study mainly seeks to explore how terrorist organizations are taking advantage of emerging technologies in their operational activities in Pakistan. Additionally, this research also examines the effectiveness of Pakistan's technological counterterrorism policies, emphasizing on the effective initiatives and strategies employed by the state of Pakistan to combat terrorism by using technology in the digital age.
