The current study investigated the impact of pet attachment on psychological well-being: the mediating role of loneliness. This study aimed at investigating whether an increased emotional bond with pets leads to a decrease in loneliness and enhances psychological wellbeing. The research methodology applied included quantitative correlational research. Participants were selected randomly for data collection using standardized questionnaires, and their age ranged between 11 and 50 years. Variables were measured by using the Pet Attachment and Life-Impact Questionnaire, UCLA Loneliness Scale, and Psychological Wellbeing Scale. The results indicated that, loneliness failed to be a mediator between pet attachment and psychological wellbeing. It can be inferred that pets help achieve emotional wellbeing; nevertheless, recommendations for policies and counseling need to promote human-pet interactions.
